Privacy Policy for CornerMan AI

Franceschi Industries ("we," "us," or "our") operates the CornerMan AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Collect

CornerMan AI is a boxing training app that uses your phone's camera to give feedback on your stance and punches. The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other contact details.

Camera Snapshots. The App asks for camera permission so it can show you a live preview and check your form. The live video stays on your device. Only while a coaching session is running, the App takes a small, low-resolution still image (no larger than 384×384 pixels) about every five seconds and sends it over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to a server we operate (hosted on Vercel), together with the drill and camera angle you selected. These snapshots show you and whatever is behind you, so train somewhere you are comfortable being photographed.

Our server forwards each snapshot to Google's Gemini API to generate the feedback you see and hear, and then discards it. We do not store your camera images, and the App does not record or save video.

Device Identifier for Daily Limits. The App creates a random identifier when it is first opened and sends it with each form check so we can enforce a daily limit on AI coaching. It is not linked to your name, account, or advertising ID, and our server keeps it only in temporary memory.

Settings Stored on Your Device. Whether you have seen the tutorial and how many form checks you have used today are stored locally on your device.

As with any network request, your device's IP address is visible to our hosting provider while a request is processed and may appear briefly in standard server logs. It is also held temporarily in memory to rate-limit abuse.

Advertising Data. The App displays ads served through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, Google AdMob and its partners may automatically collect certain information from your device, including:

• Advertising identifier (e.g., Android Advertising ID)
• Device information (device type, operating system version)
• IP address and approximate location (derived from IP address)
• App usage and interaction data related to ad delivery

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and certain U.S. states), the App asks for your consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown. Camera images are never shared with AdMob.

How the AI Coach Uses Your Images

Form analysis is performed by Google's Gemini API on a paid service tier. Under the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service for paid services, Google does not use the content we submit to improve its products. Google may retain submitted content for a limited period to detect abuse and enforce its policies, as described in those terms.

How We Use Information

• Analyze your stance and punches and give coaching feedback
• Enforce daily usage limits and prevent abuse
• Display and measure ads within the App

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your camera images for advertising or any purpose other than giving you feedback.

Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini API — analyzes camera snapshots for coaching feedback. See the Gemini API terms.
• Google AdMob — displays advertisements and requests consent where required. See https://policies.google.com/privacy.
• Vercel — hosts the server that relays form checks to Gemini.

Health and Safety

CornerMan AI is a training aid. Its feedback is generated automatically by AI and may be wrong. It is not medical advice and does not replace a qualified coach. Warm up, train within your limits, and consult a professional if you have an injury or health condition.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the App, please contact us so we can address it.

Your Choices

• Camera: images are only sent while you have a coaching session running. Stop the session at any time, or revoke camera permission in Settings > Apps > CornerMan AI > Permissions.
• Local data: clearing the App's storage (Settings > Apps > CornerMan AI > Storage > Clear storage) or uninstalling the App deletes the settings and random identifier stored on your device.
• Personalized ads (Android): Settings > Google > Ads > "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization," depending on your Android version.

Data Retention

We do not retain camera images or the content of your requests on our servers. Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider are retained only for a limited period under that provider's policies. Content sent to the Gemini API is handled by Google under the Gemini API terms, and advertising-related data is retained by Google AdMob under Google's own policies.

Security

All communication between the App and our server uses encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit what leaves your device to small still images needed for feedback.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
